ALEX GOT HIS MISSION CALL

We had an exciting Sunday. I was getting ready for church and I got a call from Scott. Jill was out of town and He had been called on
early to go to Rupert Idaho to make an arrest. He had been trying to get Scotlyn up so she'd be ready for church when he got home. Hawkins had gone to church with his girlfriend, Scotlyn (I know, super confusing. lol) to see a friend give his farewell talk, as he was called on a mission. I said I'd drive over to wake her up. I got to his house and rang the doorbell. Then I get a call from Scott and he said he had been able to get a hold of Mostyn (he thought he was at work) but he finally answered and he woke Scotlyn up. So I went home! lol We had a good Sacrament meeting and a good Relief Society meeting. After church, Tony and I had to meet with the Bishop and he was called to be the Temple & Family History Leader. That is on top of his calling as the Elder's Quorum Secretary. He loves temple work so he's all over it! He'll do great!  We went home and I hurried and made my rice dish and then we picked up Joyce and went to Lynn's. We ate shrimp & rice and then had ice=cream & cookies.

We barely got our dinner ate and then we hurried to get on FaceBook and watch Alex open his mission call! There was Blake, Lynn, Joyce & me and Tony. Scott got on from his home and all the siblings here in Nampa were on. It was fun!

None of our predictions were correct! lol  Which is GREAT! It's his mission and he was HAPPY with the call!

He's going to Ventura California Mission. He'll leave just before Thanksgiving. We are so proud of him. He'll do great and be a wonderful missionary.
