Tony and I got to bed early last night and got up at 4:30 to get ready to head to the temple. The temperature was
SO COMFORTABLE
when we got there. Very pleasant. It has been so stinkin hot and ya can't stand to be outdoors. We worked our shift and it was awesome. I got to be an attendant for a beautiful young woman who took out her endowment today. She is getting married in the Payson Temple next weekend. She was so cute and just so sweet!
We stayed and did initiatory and sealings after our shift was over. We meet in the kitchen after our shift and have a little snack and then head back up to do our own work as a patron. We got 72 ordinances completed today! What a great feeling!
It was overcast and a bit muggy when we got finished around 3, but we were walking on air!! We have decided that we will stay and work on our own names after each Saturday shift provided we don't have anything pressing. Next Saturday, I'll be alone as Tony has to help with a Priesthood activity, so I'll come home BUT the following Saturday, we should be able to again.
I told Tony I wanted to stop at JK Quilts to see the mural that Ashley Sholer painted. She was commissioned by JK Quilts to do it and her two sister's helped her.
It really is beautiful and I was so impressed!
I give a BIG THUMBS UP!!
GREAT JOB!
We stopped at Costco on the way home and got some vitamins I needed and a watermelon. Then we ate a piece of pizza. I had to bake a cake when I got home and really didn't want to cook after our long day. I'm good with a slice of Costco pizza~ lol
When we got home we quickly changed and I put together a card and purse for Janet Pope. It's her birthday today and I wanted to drop this off to her when Tony ran to Walmart to exchange a knee brace he bought last week.
We stopped at Janet's house 1st and she was so excited that I remembered her birthday. We had a nice visit on her porch. She is a sweet little lady!
Got my cake done for tomorrow's dinner with the ladies.
It's a zucchini bundt cake.
I even got out my beautiful covered cake dish that Traci gave me a few years ago. Just goes to show how often I make a pretty cake! lol Hope it's a good as it looks!
