It was a busy Sunday but a very fulfilling one. Tony was asked to attend Ward Council meeting for Kevin so he left at 10 to 10. Then I drove over at 11 so we could meet with the Elder's Quorum and Relief Society to pick all our lessons for the next 12 weeks. Afterwards, we went to choir practice and then we had Sacrament meeting. We got a new Bishopric today so the Stake Presidency was there. It was such a good meeting. Bishop Adamson and his councilors (Brother Steve Hammond & Brother Brian Preece) were released and they all spoke.

GREAT MEN!~
They had their wives speak as well, except Jenni got off the hook. lol Then the new Bishop spoke. He has only been in our Ward a year. His wife was in the Relief Society with us for a while but she was pregnant and it was hard for her so she was released. Her husband is so humble and sweet. I think he will be a wonderful new Bishop. Excited to get to know him better.
Our Sunday School Instructor was Brother Bugby, but since he was put in the new Bishopric, he had to meet with the Stake leaders right after Sacrament meeting. Sister Paige Boyer had volunteered to teach. SHE DID A PHENOMANAL JOB. She asked us if we knew what upsizing was? She had a younger sister tell us that it was taking something old and making into something new. She used an example of an old bed headboard that her grandfather took and made it into a beautiful new shoe chest for her. Then she had us read in Philippians and Colossians where it talks about what the natural man is like and what we need to do to take on the name of Jesus Christ and upsize ourselves into a new better person. She got a lot of class participation and it was so good! She was just put in as a teacher for the 12 year old kids. I wish they would re-think it and make her the Gospel Doctrine teacher! lol
BUT, alas, I'm not in charge!!
After church, I happened to walk by the Chestnut husk that I had in a bowl with all my nuts that I have collected over time. I was surprised to see it had dried up and the nut was out!
This is what it looked like today! Really interesting! I got my potatoes in the oven as soon as I got home from church and after they were done, we headed over to Joyce's house for dinner. Lona and Peter are still here, Deb and Lynn were there as well. Lona had made chicken legs, I did the potatoes and Lynn brought sliced cheese and fresh tomatoes. Deb had made licorice caramels and Lona made an apple cobbler. We had it with ice-cream. It was a good meal!
After dinner, we played GOLF. Lona really liked the game so Tony wrote the instructions down for her because she is having company at Thanksgiving and they like to play games.
It's a fun game but Joyce's house is SO HOT! I was dying. I told Tony we could only play 9 rounds because I had some things to do at home. Tony was cooking as well, so we left after the 9 rounds!! We said our goodbyes to Deb because she is leaving tomorrow.
When I got home, I scrubbed the 40 potatoes that Shelly Hughes had dropped off to me after church. (I have to bake them on Tuesday for the Silver Sweethearts luncheon) Then I called a couple of sisters and invited them to the luncheon. One didn't answer but I had a good visit with one. Not sure she'll go but I told her I'd pick her up if she wanted to go. Then I got busy and finished the card order I had started for Mary. I got 6 of each style done. Not sure when I'll see her as we have such a busy week ahead of us. I'll have to text her and if she wants them before I get back to the gym, she'll have to make arrangements to come over. Time for bed.
