DAY TWO WITH MOM !~

My sister in law, Barb Clyde painted me these 2 pictures from a couple of my favorite photos.
This one was from a photo that Heather took of my dads grave the day he was buried. The sun was shining through the clouds and the rays were shining right on his grave. It was beautiful.
This one was taken from Mom's apartment . It is looking right out onto YOUNG'S BAY. The highway that runs in the back of Ricks house is seen and then the bay. We thought Mom would love to have them hanging in her apartment for a while. I'll take them back when she passes.

I got up this morning at 8am and soaked  raisins for her oatmeal. I got all her pills ready and put them in a cup. She got up at 8:30 and was ready for her meal. She was so cute. She ate her cereal and toast and then she put the pills on her plate. She kinda flips them around on her plate and takes a couple and puts them in her mouth. Then she flips some more and repeats the action. It's almost like having a child again. She is just so sweet. I got a text from Eric asking if Mom was up. They ran a race yesterday and spent the night at The Holiday Inn. They came over and we had a WONDERFUL visit!

Holly, Eric, Jill & William

Mom was saying, "Are you taking pictures?"  It was so funny.!

We got one of each of us with her.

Finally, someone here to take a picture of us with Mom. I'm not good at selfies! lol

We had a great visit and after an hour, they had to say their goodbyes and hit the road back to Olympia and Seattle.

It was so fun to see them all!

Holly will be taking over on the 22nd after we leave. She is an absolute hilarious girl! I love being around her. She talks a mile a minute and every word is entertaining and funny!

Her youngest son Will was so sweet to Mom! Mom loved seeing them all!  After they left, Mom was getting tires again so we told her we'd go to the store to get some groceries. She asked if I'd get her some wool yarn and some cotton yarn. Then she said "Maybe you could go to the Bow Picker for fish and chips!"  That was in our plans but the Bow Picker was not open till Wednesday so I told her we were going to get fish taco's and chowder at The Custard King. We were gone for a couple of hours and she was asleep on her bed when we got home. I made some cornbread and put away the groceries while Tony ran to get our dinner. We all ate when he got back and she was a happy camper. Charcie and little Diana came down while we were eating and said hello. She told us about the house & property they are getting. Then she left and Ben came down for a bit. I sure love those kids. They are just awesome.  After they left and we finished eating, Tony vacuumed Mom's apartment and I swept and mopped the floor.  I'm gonna have to ask Charcie if they have a mop & bucket because what Mom had wasn't cutting it.
We made Rootbeer floats in the evening and Mom loved it.

She went back to knitting with her new yarn and we are watching the BYU channel.  We'll go to bed in a few hours. We want to take a shower tonight and hopefully, I'll sleep better tonight.
I love staying with her. It's interesting when you become the Parent and your parent the child.  The circle of Life!

Glad to see you had some visitors and that things are going well over there. The paintings are beautiful.
