GETTING THINGS DONE!~

We got up to a little snow storm this morning. So glad Curtis and Deedra got here last night. 

It's a very wet snow and is not sticking to the roads.

But it is sticking to the grass and the gazebo. lol Tony got ready to go to the gym to walk. I told him to go by himself because I had to get things ready for going over to Mom's to visit and EAT with Deedra and family!  I made the SWIG cookie dough last night but didn't stay up to cook them.

So, after Tony took off, I got busy baking them! I had two icings in the fridge. A white and a pink so I combined them .

It looked a little marbleized, which was fine but I still had to make up more and it was a lot darker pink!

It was still snowing but lightly!

I finished all the cookies and got them stored in my containers. Three left over (that wouldn't fit in the tins without laying them on top of each other...so I ate one! lol Then I decided I had time to make the soup for Sunday. I looked for my new vegetable chopper that I bought a week ago and I couldn't find it!!

YEP!  It sucks getting old and losing your memory!!  I know I'll come across it sometime but for now, it's in that safe place!!  Back to the old chopper!  BOO!~

I got the ZUPPA TUSCANO soup made except for the kale and the cream. I'll put those in Sunday before taking it over to Mom Norton's house. We are having two soups on Sunday and bread before Deedra and the kids leave for home. (and I made enough sweets for dessert to last the entire weekend)  I'm making Artisan bread, but will put it together Saturday night and bake it Sunday morning, Lynn and Joyce both bought a Chicken Noodle soup from COSTCO (our suggestion)  So things ought to run smoothly! 

Since I had things ready to go, I went up to my craft room and worked on the cards for Mary. Might as well as get them going.

Tony got home so I decided we'd better eat lunch before going over to Lynns's to see the kids and play cards. So I made us a salad with fried chicken. It was nummy!  We then loaded up the truck, picked up Joyce and went over.

The kids were playing video games and doing homework.  I asked Alice if she wanted to be "Queen For A Day"  She said "yes" so I gave her the crown I got at Silver Sweethearts. 

Then we started playing GOLF.  Deedra kicked our butts!

I lost!!  lol  WHATS NEW??

Curtis got home from work and played a few games with us before their friends came over. Then they left to go to dinner. We took Joyce home and we are now watching one episode of 24 before bed! We will hit the sack at 7 so we can get rested before our Temple shift tomorrow! It was a good day!~
