GOING GOING GOING.....

Last Friday, I was given two books from Lynn in the FIRE & STEEL series by Gerald Lund. I love his writing. I looked through my books at home and found #1 (which she gave me a while back) Then Tony and I made a trip to DI and I found three more. Now I'm just missing 2 from the series. I hope to stop at teh DI in Boise on Saturday after our temple shift and HOPEFULLY find them.
Otherwise, I'll have to hit Amazon and I much rather
spend $3 dollars than $20. I hope to find #2 before I'm done with 1.

Wednesday, we woke up to snow . VERY WET SNOW!!
We picked up Lynn and Joyce and away we went.

We did an endowment each and then we did two hours of sealings. The sealer was Randy Berquist. We have had hima few times when we go on Wednesday. He is the son of a lady who both Lynn and Joyce knew from their Weaser days. They always ask Randy how his mother is doing.  SO, he said he could make arrangements for her to come to the temple when we were going to be there. SO, today was the day. Her other son, Dick brought her and they both were in our 2 hours of sealings. It was really nice. After we finished, we told them we were going to eat at Chick Fil A and asked if they wanted to join us. Dick said they were supposed to meet their little brother somewhere so they could pick up a wedding or shower gift (can't remember which) So, they decided to eat with us and meet at Chick Fil A. It worked out great and we were able to have a nice visit with most of the family. lol Tony had an appointment at 4PM for our taxes so at 3:30, we had to leave to get the ladies home and for him to get to the tax appointment.  We hurried home and changed and headed out. After dropping Tony off at DILLE & ASSOCIATES, I headed to the hospital to meet with Claire and pick up the clothes that I am going to make a Teddy Bear out of for Lincoln.. It was still raining A LOT!!  I got the items and had a short visit and headed back to pick up Tony.  I hadn't been back more than 5 minutes,  when Tony came out. We headed home and I baked peanut butter cookies for the Salvation Army luncheon on Thursday.  Then I went to a RELIEF SOCIETY PRESIDENCY meeting at Teri's house.  It lasted 1 and a half hour.....
I seriously wish I could say

THIS!!!  lol  Seems like all I do is go go go!!  When I got home from that, we finished watching an episode of NCIS and then went to bed.

I got up and got ready to go to the SALVATION ARMY to serve lunch. I had both Joyce and Lynn bake 30 potatoes for me. Both of them put the potatoes on a pan to cook and they weren't done after an hour at 400 degrees. There were 5 that were on the rack at Joyce's house and they were done but the ones on the pan were not. I told her to leave them in and I'd come back for them. Then I went to Lynn's and she had done the same thing and hers were not done either. I told her the same thing and then I went and picked up Shelly and we headed to the shelter. We got the hamburger gravy going and the corn and then I went back to get the potatoes. It was almost another hour so they were ready. We served baked potatoes with hamburger gravy, corn, rolls with butter and carrot sticks. AND, cookies for dessert. My helpers, Wanda and Shelly.....

And Teresha, who tried to get out of the picture cuz she didn't wear any makeup. lol  We served about 45 or 50 people. We ran out of potatoes but some came back for 2nd's. Everyone was very gracious and thankful for the good lunch.  I had made peanut butter cookies and I got more compliments on them that I could believe. One man said he wanted to talk to who had made them so Teresha pointed to me and the man told me "they are perfection",  he kisses his fingers and said they were the best he'd ever had.  lol  Made me feel good as my cooking skills are not so good anymore. lol We cleaned up and were out of there by 12:35.  I took Shelly home and Teresha took Wanda home. Then I drove to JOANN'S to look for patterns for the Teddy Bear.

I found a couple and then I looked at the price on the back! One was $19.95 and one was $20.95!! I was SHOCKED!! I haven't sewed anything for a long time other than mending. I asked the clerk if there were any coupons I could use. She told me you can't use coupons on patterns. But then she scanned them and they were on sale for $1.99!  I about laughed out loud! I can handle that!!  So, I bought them, came home and put things away and then did three loads of laundry and cut out the pattern pieces. Haven't started on the bear yet but hopefully soon. I warmed up spaghetti for dinner for Tony and I and then we  watched a little TV till it was time for me to pick up Joyce & Lynn for book club.

We met at Jenni's home and Luva lead the discussion. It was a fun evening and Jenni made delicious brownies for the treat. I took Lynn and Joyce home and now I'm getting ready to hit the sack.
Going to the gym in the morning and them I'm doing my Ministering when I get home. I'd really like a day of doing nothing!!
