We has a very wet Sabbath day, BUT, I am so grateful for the rain. It's been slow and steady and the grass and daffodils are turning green and coming up. Spring is just around the corner I think. lol
After church, I came home and cooked potatoes. I had the hamburger gravy in the crockpot and put the corn on to cook. I had rolls and a relish tray. Joyce made an apple cake and Lynn brought Soda. We sat down to watch COME FOLLOW UP while we waited for Scotlyn & Porter to come and have dinner with us. Scotlyn picked up her parents from the airport at 1:45 and they were
at our house by 2:45.
We sure enjoyed them and, Scotlyn said her dad was coming over in a while. Jill was so tired and opted to say home. (Don't blame her) We ate dinner and the kids told us about their Prom coming up. Porter's wrestling matches, losing Loki while her parents were gone....(Luckily, they found him) and so forth! It was fun!
We taught Porter the game of GOLF and he caught on real quick and won the 1st hand. It was a good time. Scott showed up while we were playing and he made himself a plate of food and warmed it in the microwave. He told us about their experiences in Thailand .
FOR CHURCH. He can look good and still BLEED BLUE while not looking too out of place. LOL Its a lighter blue than the other blue one he had made. The shirt was made there as well.
This one is his BSU Blue, and it's lined with the BRONCO LOGO Pretty sharp! He also had a shirt made that is out of the lining material!
He bought a light green linen suit for summer (It's gonna wrinkle like crazy I think, we'll see...) and a pair of tennis shoes for Scotlyn and some boxer shorts for Porter.
Porter was kind enough to model them for us! lol He joked with Scotlyn and told her he was going to wear them for their
PROM PICTURES! lol
They sure make a cute couple!! They were invited to his cousins house at 5 so the three of them took off at about 5 to 5. It was fun to have them over to eat, visit and play games. We continued to play with Mom and Joyce until 6, when our Ministering brothers came over. Brother Dickerson usually comes with his wife but he had his new companion (Cade Wigger) and it's the 1st time out for him. He was sure a talkative man. Very personable and fun to listen to. Hopefully, he and his wife will start coming out together now.
They were at our house till after 7PM. We finished watching an NCIS episode and then went to bed. We were going to do our reading and hit the sack and be in bed by 10 but I got on the computer and found several family names to do in FAMILY SEARCH. We printed them off and then read for a bit in D&C and then crashed.
MONDAY!~
We went to the gym this morning. Got there a bit before 8am. Pat was already there but had a dermatology appointment at 0 so we only walked together about 45 minutes. She left and Carol came so I walked with her several laps and then Rena came up from downstairs and I walked with her. Carol went on ahead because I walk so slow with Rena. It was nice to slow down and visit with her. We came home and I got out the clothing and started cutting out Lincoln's teddy bear. Then we had to leave at noon to go to Bugger King.
Jenni (the RS President) wanted us to meet her there for lunch to help Shelly and her son REN, celebrate for him getting his disability. It took quite a long time but he finally got it. They are both pretty bad off. Both on walkers, and Ren has a very hard time communicating. He's been let go from several jobs because he just can't do them. Jenni made a cake and after we ate we had cake. Their case worker came as well. We then went to our accountant to sign our tax papers and give them money. Such is Life. I'm now cutting out the teddy bear and hope to get it started sometime soon.
