MONDAY ....GLAD IT'S OVER!~

A busy Monday!  I can sure tell how old I'm getting. My everyday activities are getting so much harder. We got up at 6:45 and I beat Pat to the gym but not by much. We walked our 4 miles and she really needed a person to talk to this morning. Glad I was there for her. Neither one of us will be there tomorrow as she has a doctor appointment and we are going to the temple. 

She gave me this Scentsy burner and two boxes of wax. This one is a sea scene and she gave me a sea scent and it smells wonderful!!  She is so sweet and giving. When we got finished at the gym, we went directly to Costco because we needed milk and dishwashing detergent. We came home and ate  a bowl of cereal and then we went out to do our lawns. I mowed ours and Tony edged. It was getting so hot and it was only 10. Once I finished the lawn, I had to sit for a bit and catch my breath. Then I started on the garden. I hoed the weeds and then raked them up and dumped the in the trash. I was so hot and exhausted and I came in to the house to rest and catch my breath before going to pick up Lorraine Taylor and take her to the hospital for a blood draw.  When I got there she told me I was super flushed. I said I had just finished my yard work and was just hot and tired. SO, after her blood draw she had me go to SONIC and she bought me a  Blueberry slushy. It tasted so good!! After I took her home, I ran to the Dollar Store. I was looking for something 4th of July to put on the wreath that Delinda gave me. I found some cool things for cards as well as a truck for the wreath. I was going to go to the Library to pick up the book for August book club but I had to use the bathroom so I came home. I thought about going out again but decided against it as I had laundry to do and I needed to cut Joyce's hair.

My Dahlia was opened up a bit more. I wish it had more blooms. 

I got my hair cutting things and then went over to Joyce's. I rang her doorbell which goes on forever and a day.....no one comes to the door. I  rang it again and still nothing. I came back home and tried calling her. Once on her cell and once on her house phone.  Still nothing. So, I decided to make our lunch and let her call me when she was ready. Just as I was making taco's, she called and said she had been on the phone with her daughter. She said "If you'd called my cell phone, I would have known you were ready."  I didn't want to tell her that I'd called both phones as well as rang her doorbell twice!!  She doesn't wear her hearing aids at home so I know why she didn't answer. lol  I told her I'd come over after we ate. We watched an episode of NCIS and ate lunch and then I went to cut her hair.  Got that done and came home to finish the laundry. 

When Colby and Cindy were here, they introduced us to a new drink. lol  It's just a sparkling water and their are several flavors. I don't like sparkling water but this wasn't too bad.

So after we were finally relaxing today, Tony made me a sparkling soda with Raspberry Mio. Our friend Liz is a merchandiser and she gives us the sparkling water. I really didn't like it but I was able to sip it down over about a three hour period of time. lol I can live with out them . I'd rather have a plain water. lol

I added the truck and the windmill to the 4th of July close pin wreath that Delinda gave me. I thought it needed more pizazz. I hung it on the door, came in and finished my laundry and now I'm resting the REST of the evening. I'm getting to old for all this! lol
