TEMPLE TUESDAY, MOVIE WITH FRIENDS & SO ON

Got up Tuesday morning and got dressed for the temple. We went down to grab a quick bite before leaving to pick up the ladies.

My Christmas Cactus has finally got rooted well and is starting to get new leaves. I was beginning to think it was a hopeless case.

We picked up Joyce & Lynn and went to a 10 o'clock session. We did 2 endowments and got out around 2 PM. We went to CHICK FIL A for a quick lunch afterwards, because Tony and I were going to pick up the Poulson's so we could go to the new Jurassic Park Movie. Tony and I changed our clothes and then went to get Kevin & Jan.  We got our popcorn and root beer and  got a good seat at the top of the theater. The show took forever to start due to all the shorts for upcoming movies. lol  Finally, it started. We were laughing at parts and I must say, I jumped at a few as I was startled. lol  When it was over, we talked about it on the way home. Kevin is so stinkin funny. In one part of the movie a big T REX picks up a little girl who was in a rubber raft and he shook her all around then drops it. The girl escapes. Kevin said "I wonder where I can get a raft like that?"  lol Dinosaur proof!!  YEAH, it was kinda corny and the big alien dino at the end was pretty ridiculous, BUT, it was entertaining and it's always fun to be with the Poulson's.

When we were leaving, I got Tony and Kevin to pose in this Jurassic Park cardboard poster.

Kevin was game too!  like I said, he's a funny guy!!
We got home and got ready for bed and then I worked on my lesson for Sunday and Tony worked on his puzzle.

He's almost got it completed.   Now it's bedtime!!
Wednesday morning, we got up at 6:45 and went to the gym.  I met Pat in the parking lot. We walked in and walked our 4 miles. She told me all about the last couple of days. She wasn't at the gym on Monday and I wasn't there on Tuesday. She was rescuing cats, ducks and rabbits. She's helping the rescue where her granddaughter who passed away in Ecuador, worked. On Wednesday, she said she'd had her fill. Not a fun job. lol  After our walk was over, we went to the church to meet up with the Elder's and to meet a new family who are investigating the church. Aaron and Whitney and their 2 little boys, Waylon and Merle (named after the country western singers) Such a nice couple. Aaron and his little boy Merle both have mullets and Whitney has a bunch of tattoos. She said her pastor said he wouldn't baptize her because of her tats. Aaron said he had been told all his life NOT to listen to Mormon's because they are a cult. The Missionaries told us after our tour of the church, and after they said they will be to church on Sunday,  that when they met them 3 days ago that Aaron said they would talk to them as long as they didn't talk about the Book of Mormon. The  Elder's said that they could see their spirits softening as they spoke and guess what....they talked about the Book of Mormon. 2 days later, we met them at the church and Whitney has already read 1st Nephi. Pretty cool!

After our meeting, we went home and I set the table and made a salad while Tony picked up a pizza for lunch. Then the Elder's and Liz came at noon and we had lunch and a discussion.

Then we took pictures before departing.

These 2 Elder's are awesome guys. Liz is struggling a bit with the Word of Wisdom but she is trying really hard.  While I was making the salad, I got a call from Robin asking me to come over asap. I told her I would have to come after the Elder's and Liz left. So I went to see her and I brought her some butter toffee and some black licorice caramels. I stayed a couple of hours. I helped her make her bed, I put some wet clothes in the dryer and visited. Her daughter was coming to see her but hadn't showed up yet. She's quite a needy gal and has a lot of health issues. After leaving her, I went to see the Taylor sister's. I brought them some candy as well and just checked to see how they are both doing. I went home and relaxed till it was time to go to my RS meeting. While I was at the meeting, a big wind storm came up. It blew hard, and rained. I was glad for the rain as our irrigation water is still out. The garbage cans were blown over and a couple of trees on Midland. It's blown over now. Tony went over my lesson for Sunday with me before going to bed.  It was a busy day.
We got up today and went to the gym. We walked 4 miles and then came home, cleaned up and went to CITY BUFFET for the Electricians luncheon.

Not a super big turnout this month.

It was good food but we didn't stay a long time. We went to Winco, bought some  brownies for the funeral on Saturday and then went to was the car. Gonna rest and work on my lesson for the rest of the day. Feeling pretty tired. Probably ate too much!
