THANKFUL TO BE FEELING BETTER

Had a rough night on Saturday night. Up 5 times during the night. Not sure whether to sit or hover over the toilet, if you know what I mean.  It was a miserable night. I decided to stay home from church and stay close to the throne. Tony picked up Joyce and Lynn rode with Stillman and Michelle, who only stayed till Sacrament meeting was over with and then took off for home. Curtis & Deedra went to church with the Butterfields, then went to Lynn's to after church to pack and eat the chili and cornbread I made on Saturday. Tony came home after church and I was still in bed. He changed and then went to pick up Yeti and Joyce and went to eat with Curtis & Deedra. Then they took off for home. Tony & Yeti watched COME FOLLOW UP with the two ladies. I called Tony and asked him to bring me home some of the bread we bought on Saturday, IF it wasn't all gone. I just felt like some toast to eat. He did and I came down to eat a bite when he got home. I listened to Elder Cook's talk several times, as I am leading the discussion next Sunday in RS. At least I got some spiritual input for the Sabbath. Tony had the Elder's come over at 7PM to have a discussion with Rolando.  I didn't join them as I looked like death warmed over and didn't want to expose them to the bug I caught. I stayed in the back room till they were done. We went to bed at 9, read for a bit, said our prayers and went to sleep. I did remarkably well, considering I slept in so late.
We got up on this morning and I felt fairly decent. SO, we went to the gym. Pat wasn't there today so I walked alone & listened to the talk again by Elder Cook, over & over. I walked 2 miles and then rode the elliptical for 6 miles. I then walked 4 laps with Rena and Chuck. I gave Rena a bag of licorice caramels that I made and then we headed home. We stopped at THE ORCHARDS to see a sister who is in there for rehab, and then home to mow lawns. We ate a quick bowl of cereal and outside we went.

I had to water all the potted plants by hand today. It got up to the HIGH 90's and our irrigation water is out!  One of our neighbors broke the main water line for the neighborhood so our grass and garden are going to suffer for the week. Doesn't look like its gonna be fixed till Thursday or Friday. Maybe later!!  YIKES!

My lilies up front are opening up but the leaves are getting yellow.

My Begonia's are starting to bloom. Not all of them but at least they are on their way!

I am very happy with this one ( don't know the name)  which is in the back yard. I added more dirt to the pot this year and it seems to have helped. It has got a lot more blooms and they are not so tall that they fall over. I'm happy with it!

I hoed the garden (but not before this picture was taken) and it is dry dry dry!!  It seriously needs water but it isn't going to be anytime soon. The zucchini has been eaten by bugs so I tried to pull it out but it's so dry, I couldn't get it out. AND, things looked better after I finished hoeing.

The pots along the fence are doing well. I had to water them by hand, as well as the other pots in the back yard.

My tiger lily is finally blooming. There are quite a few buds so there will be a lot more blooms soon! I finished in the yard and came in to rest a bit. I was hot and tired. Tony was at his mother's house doing her yard and helping her with her printer. When he got home, he showered and then we went to Costco for milk and a few other things. Then to Winco for salad fixings. I'm gonna feed the Elder's and Liz on Wednesday and since it's gonna be a full day, I decided to make a salad and we're gonna get pizza from Papa Murphy's .  When we got home, I fried potatoes and onions and a couple of steaks. We ate lunch and now we're watching TV. It was a good day!
