We have been non-stop since Friday's Halloween party! October is gone and we are on to NOVEMBER.!
Sunday after church, I had Yeti and Frank and Rolando over for dinner. I knew we had to eat quickly because Yeti invited Tony and I to go to Brother John's with him. Brother John is the Patriarch and Yeti was getting his blessing.
I made a loaf of Artisan bread and a pot of Taco soup. Yeti really liked the bread so he took what was left home with him. lol We went to Brother Johns and it was a really wonderful experience for Tony and I to be able to witness the blessing. Yeti was pretty happy. Sunday night was our Self Reliance class on "Finding Strength in the Lord". It was a 10 week course and we have 3 more Sundays left.
Monday after the gym, we worked in the yard. Tony finished cleaning out the garden spot and getting it leveled. He is going to get ground cover on Wednesday and the shed we bought is getting constructed on Friday. Can't wait. We are giving up gardening. We are getting too old and tired. I will still have the raised garden and maybe enough space for a tomato plant but I'm done with all the other stuff. It's looking good and ready for the shed.
While Tony worked in the garden spot, I mowed the yard, front and back and got the leaves gathered up. I also cleaned out the flower pots and repotted some Hen & Chicks that were spilling over the side of the planter. I did 3 loads of laundry and then I wanted to start putting up my Christmas Village but by the time I got in the house, I was too tired. Then I wondered if I have it in me anymore to do it. I love it when it's up but it's a job getting it done. I'm seriously thinking of selling it on Marketplace. We had a garage door company come out to look at our door. It doesn't open correctly and sometimes it doesn't open at all and we have to do the push button on the door. Anyway, we decided after talking to the guy that we are getting a new door and motor. It will be here after Thanksgiving.
Tony and I have decided we are just getting too old to do a lot of things we used to do. He's decided he will no longer blow out the sprinklers. He's gonna pay someone to do it. This year he did ours, Mom's, Joyce's and Yet's. It was way too much and it took him several days to recuperate. We're not as young as we used to be.
This morning, we picked up Lynn and went to the Boise temple. Ours is closed for 2 weeks for cleaning. It's always a pleasure to go back to the Boise temple. It is so ornate and beautiful and I have a special place in my heart for it. Afterall, it's where Tony and I were sealed and it's more compact and easy to get around....although not for Lynn. lol She gets lost pretty easy. We each did an endowment and then we went to Sealings. There was another couple and their daughter, and they had several family names. There was another brother, who had only one name and another brother, who had several names. Consequently, we didn't get a lot done. 4 couples sealed to each other, and 10 children sealed to their parents. Then we went to Initiatory and got 5 apiece done there.
Leaving, it was cloudy and it had been rainy.
Very little but some moisture.
Fall is definitely in the air as the trees are all turning. They are beautiful. From there, we went to Chick Fil A and met Phillip.
We had a quick bite and then went back to RC WIlley so Lynn could buy a new freezer. Her's gave up the ghost. It will be delivered on Friday, the same time our shed is being built.
After the purchase, I got a picture of Father & son. Tony was sitting in an office chair so I got a shot of the two of them. we said our goodbyes and headed back to Nampa. We stopped at the house and I quickly picked up my purse and we went to the Library and voted.
Now that we've done our Temple work and our Civic duty, we are home. I ran a birthday gift over to Lubov and am now going to relax the rest of the evening. It's 6:30 and time to chill!
