MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND!~
Mother's Day weekend was GREAT!~ It started off with Curtis and Deedra stopping by my office on Friday and dropping off a HUGE....I'M TELLING YOU, IT WAS HUGE Mother's Day card and a BIG Cadbury chocolate almond candy bar! So sweet of them. They were going to Utah to spend some time with her mother and Derek and Rachel. So happy they were able to do that. It's so important for Marsha and I know she loved having them.
Then Friday night, my sweetheart took me to "Smokey Mountain Pizza" for dinner. We were hoping to go see Guardians of the Galaxy but I was waiting for a sister in the church to stop by the house with the gift I got for Tony's mother and she wasn't able to come till after 7. We will go see the movie later.
Saturday, Tony went to the church to help with the deep clean and I had a R.S. Board Meeting at the house. Afterwards, I mowed the lawn and Tony edged the yard and then we rested till it was time to go to our friends house for "Game Night".... That's ALWAYS a good time!!
Sunday morning, we picked up the folks and went to Brad and Courtnee's ward to see their little twin boys get blessed! They handed out little bouquets of flowers and a candy bar to the sisters. NICE!! Then we finished up at our ward and there, I got a big tomato plant for my garden! YAY!
I didn't throw a "Mother's Day Party this year because we have our back yard tore up. We are getting our BIG Willow Tree taken out and we've done some prep work for that...... besides it was cold and I didn't want to go to all the trouble. I thought the kids could have their own celebrations with their families! As it turned out, Lynn called and invited us as well as Bob and Joyce over to have dinner. I made a salad and Joyce made a dessert. Lynn baked Chicken and roasted vegetables and had warm croisants. It was so gooood! She was so anxious to show off her new BEAUTIFUL dishes she just got. They were gorgeous!! We played "Mexican Train" after dinner and just had a nice visit!
