MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND!~

Mother's Day weekend was GREAT!~  It started off with Curtis and Deedra stopping by my office on Friday and dropping off a HUGE....I'M TELLING YOU, IT WAS HUGE Mother's Day card and a BIG Cadbury chocolate almond candy bar!  So sweet of them. They were going to Utah to spend some time with her mother and Derek and Rachel. So happy they were able to do that. It's so important for Marsha and I know she loved having them.
Then Friday night, my sweetheart took me to "Smokey Mountain Pizza" for dinner.  We were hoping to go see Guardians of the Galaxy but I was waiting for a sister in the church to stop by the house with the gift I got for Tony's mother and she wasn't able to come till after 7. We will go see the movie later.
Saturday, Tony went to the church to help with the deep clean and I had a R.S. Board Meeting at the house. Afterwards, I mowed the lawn and Tony edged the yard and then we rested till it was time to go to our friends house for "Game Night"....  That's ALWAYS a good time!!
Sunday morning, we picked up the folks and went to Brad and Courtnee's ward to see their little twin boys get blessed! They handed out little bouquets of flowers and a candy bar to the sisters. NICE!!  Then we finished up at our ward and there,  I got a big tomato plant for my garden!  YAY!
I didn't throw a "Mother's Day Party this year because we have our back yard tore up. We are getting our BIG Willow Tree taken out and we've done some prep work for that...... besides it was cold and I didn't want to go to all the trouble. I thought the kids could have their own celebrations with their families!  As it turned out, Lynn called and invited us as well as Bob and Joyce over to have dinner. I made a salad and Joyce made a dessert. Lynn baked Chicken and roasted vegetables and had warm croisants. It was so gooood!  She was so anxious to show off her new BEAUTIFUL dishes she just got. They were gorgeous!!  We played "Mexican Train" after dinner and just had a nice visit!

I did get this picture of my precious mother from my brother Rick. He said she was all ready for church and she was just sitting and reading all the letters and cards she got from her kids. She was going to have dinner with Rick and Wendy later in the afternoon. I called her after returning from Art and Lynn's and had a good visit with her. She said she loved her gift (a homemade box of homemade cards) and wondered how I found the time. I said "Mom, I learned from the best!!"  She is 95 in July and she made 30 humanatarian bags for Traci and the girls as well as she tries to get a couple of quilt tops done every week!  She is INCREDIBLE!!~
Can't wait to go see her on Memorial Weekend.

After returning home we started to watch "HIDDEN FIGURES"....Tony gave it to me for Mother's Day as well as a beautiful necklace clasp that holds my Temple Robe in place.  LOVE IT!!
We barely got it started and Scott and Scotlyn showed up and then Traci and 3 of her 4. Andrew also brought his NEW little yellow lab, "Charlie"  that he just got.  We all visited out in the front yard for about an hour. It is so awesome for me to have 2 of my 5 kids, living close by!!

These two had the best time playing with "Charlie" ....
I have to admit, the little guy is adorable (right now)  lol BUT, That's why we stayed outside! lol
I also heard from Chris on Friday night, Jeff on Sunday and Heather on Sunday evening. I love my kids so much! ALL 12 OF THEM!  It is so awesome being a Mother and a Step mother to wonderful kids. I am proud of them all.
