TEMPLE THURSDAY!~

Thursday is our Temple Day! We always attend on Thursday unless there is some major activity that prevents us from going, but if that happens, we go on another day during the week. We were happy that Deedra joined us again this week. We did two sessions. In the 1st session, we got to the chapel around 9:20 or so and there were already two sisters on the front row. I sat down on the front and then Tony came in and sat beside me. Mom came in and sat on the other side of me and so Deedra and Joyce had to sit across the aisle from us but were still on the front row.  Soon a sister came and asked Tony and I if we would be the Witness Couple and of course we said YES. We moved over a couple of positions which made it possible for Joyce and Deedra to come over to our side. The lady sitting beside Joyce asked if my name was Laverne to which Joyce said yes. Then the lady stood up and asked if I recognized her. I'm ashamed to say, she looked a bit familiar but I couldn't place her. It turns out she was Sue Wells from the old 23rd ward in Boise!!  Man, that was over 30 years ago!! I was so surprised she remembered me! She asked about all my kids and she said her son Jeremy lives in Texas (somewhere by Houston) She now lives in Cambridge Idaho!!  It was so good to see her and catch up a bit. Such a sweet lady.  I wished I'd been able to talk with her more but after the 1st session, we had to hurry to make the next so I didn't see her again. It was awesome to catch up a bit. Small World!~

After we left the Temple, we had to wait for Joyce and Lynn so Tony took my bag and put it in the car and I walked to the front of the Temple and took a few pictures. Man, let me tell you.....the grass is soooo plush!!  Ya sink a good two inches in softness! lol It was nice! 

It is such a beautiful temple!!  We are so blessed to have two in the valley and so grateful to be able to attend so frequently!

We all got in the car and Lynn said she wanted a Taco!!  She was barking up my tree for sure!! We drove to Nampa and she said there was a "NEW" taco place by the mall.  Well, there is a new Tropical Smoothie place but she couldn't remember if that is where she went so we just went to Taco Bell! 

It was good none the less! Tony and I got a $5 dollar special which included a Taco, a burrito, some cinnamon swirls and a large drink!! Deedra got two chalupa's and the women got some other things. Tony and I figured we got an extra taco so we shared it and then come to find out, it was supposed to be with Deedra's meal!! OOPS!! ..I shared my cinnamon swirls with her to make up for our screwup! lol

 

She forgave us and all was good! lol  It was a nice morning! I love our Temple Days! Tony wants to go on a walk on the Green Belt but he is busy on the phone with Select Health for some medical questions. SO, I decided to work on my card that need finishing up.  

I made them real simple, so these four are done. I've got to finish another four, but  I'll quit for a while and work on my STORY WORTH book! I'm sure he'll be ready to walk soon!

We decided to go to the Rec center to walk instead of the Green Belt. It's closer to a bathroom and I'd rather be safe than sorry!  lol  I'm learning. We went to Walmart after we walked for some chocolate milk and an onion. There is some soup I'm making tomorrow and I needed an onion. Tony is going to blow out sprinklers so I'm gonna cook tomorrow. I'll probably have to go out and help him a bit but we'll see. Time for bed now. It's 10:30 and we NEVER stay up this late!! It's been a good day!
