Tony got up and ready for church. I stayed home quarantining. I did manage to get some 9 grain cereal in my little insta pot to cook for breakfast as I needed to get my prednisone taken by 9am and I have to take it with food. So, I was eating mine when Tony came down. Deedra called me this morning to see how I was doing and we had a nice visit. I appreciate others calling, texting and sending me messages as I am feeling pretty isolated right now. A necessary evil right now, I guess. Taking no chances.
I wanted to fix a decent meal for Tony today because he has literally been doing it all!! I did have to have him help me grate up the cheese last night and then I put in the fridge for today.
While he was gone, and after I zoomed Sacrament meeting, I made a Swiss Cheese Quiche. However, I couldn't get the lid off the container of whole cream. Consequently, I had to wait till he got home from church to finish it! He apologized for not thinking to take it off before he left!! I can't believe that man! He is too good to be true! Love him so much! Anyway, we got it put in and while it baked he read me the RS/Priesthood lesson for today.
We ate dinner once it was done and it was mighty tasty.
Tony left for his Double Quartette practice at 4. He and several other Brethren will be singing acapella next Sunday for our Christmas program. Sorry to say I'll be watching from home again. We are not taking any chances right now. I hate to miss it but will still see it, just not in person. While he was gone, a sister in another ward asked if anyone had unsigned Christmas Cards they could donate for the young kids at school to sign and bring to the elderly at the Rest Homes. I told her I had several, if she could come get them.
I got 26 of them bagged and ready for her to pick up. I feel like I've got to do something. I feeling pretty worthless right now so I'll help where I can. These were done already, so all I had to do was bag them and have them ready for her to pick up.
Hannah came and got them and she dropped off a Christmas Story that was the inspiration for giving the cards to the elderly. It made me cry and really brought the spirt.
We are going to try and watch Season 3 of The Chosen tonight. Well, the 1st episode or so. Just trying to figure out if we can get it on the TV. If not, we'll watch THE NATIVITY!
