SO GRATEFUL FOR MY HANDS THAT ARE WORKING!~

Didn't sleep very well last night. The Prednisone keeps me awake at night and I take it 1st thing in the morning. Kinda frustrating! So, when Tony left for the temple around 4:40am, I sat in my chair thinking of things I needed to do.

I had a pkg. of Philo dough that I needed to use up, so I got up and made Baklava! Haven't made it in years so it was time!

I had 3 oranges that were to dry and old to eat so I simmered them on the stove with some nutmeg and cinnamon  and made the house smell good! I did 2 loads of laundry in between working in the kitchen.  It did smell good!

I fried up bacon for tomorrow's breakfast as I will be feeding Kate and Austin before they leave to go back to Provo. They drove up this morning for a wedding in the Meridian temple and then went to dinner with the family and then to a reception tonight so I haven't seen them yet. She said they'll be here around 10 tonight. I've got the backroom ready for them.  I have a bunch of apples in the garage and I've got to use them up so I made caramel apples again. It got to the point that it wouldn't stick on the last apples so I tried heating it up again but still no luck, so I poured it out and cut it when it cooled, and wrapped it up in papers.

This is what happens this time of year! lol Seriously, I plan on giving a lot of it away to neighbors.  People have been so wonderful to come and bring me things and now I have some things to send with them when they leave.

I got a wedding gift ready for Audrianna Law's wedding which is today. I won't be able to go but we will drop off the gift. Then I got Anna and Alice's birthday gifts ready. Tony will go to Anna's tomorrow evening and Alice is next week.  I got a chance to talk to my brother Rick and his wife Wendy today. I think my mom is so close to going home. She has had some very sacred experiences with things beyond the veil. She said she wants to make it through Christmas and then she is ready. Makes me so emotional. I know she wants to go and be with dad and be whole again but it's hard. I will miss her letters so much!

When Tony got home, he warmed up pizza for us and we ate. It's as good the 2nd day as it is the 1st! lol Mmmmm, Love me some pizza!

I had started on gift cards last night and it took me a long time today but I managed to get them finished and all my junk brought back up to my craft room.

Not super fancy but it's what's inside that counts! lol

All done and two of them mailed. We'll hand out the rest! I'm so tired so have fell asleep this afternoon while I watched TV with Tony. Anxious to see Kate and Austin and baby Emma . It will be a quick hello before bed and then a quick breakfast and off they will go.
