WILL I EVER GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP AGAIN??

Last night after Lynn,  Joyce, Jess and Diane went home, I went up to take a hot shower in hopes it would help me sleep good. Got all ready for bed and  then we came down to the couch and Tony read to me after our prayer. He kissed me good night and he went upstairs and I settled onto the couch again. I was awake, so I read my texts, did a couple of word puzzles and was getting drowsy. I asked Alexica to play some Paul Cardall and I settled in at  11:30......  So good so far until at 3:30, I had to get up to use the bathroom. I've been drinking LOTS & LOTS of water as asked to by the doctor....
I went back to the couch and thought I could go back to sleep,
 BUT NOOOOOO

I was wide awake, and try as I might, I couldn't go back to sleep. So I got two loads of laundry done, some texting, some more word puzzles, some reading and then Tony came down and got ready to go to the gym, I went upstairs, dressed, put away the clean laundry and I'm ready for a new day. I am praying I'll hear from the doctor or the clinic today. I'd feel a lot better if this was all underway, The waiting is killing me. Tony called me when he was leaving the gym. He asked if I'd heard from the doctor's office. I had not so he asked me to call them again. I did and of course got the receptionist again BUT she said she'd give the doctor the message. Jeff and Cynthia cam e for a visit at 1:30 this afternoon. I got a call from Dr. Keller while they were here at our house.  He apologized for not getting back to me earlier but he said he was working at the hospital and had been very busy and also they were trying to find out of our insurance would cover the new drug he is putting me on (Ritoxen)  He said he was going to call the INFUSION CENTER and tell them that it is critical we get this going immediately and the Insurance should cover it because it is absolutely necessary. SO, after catching up with the Chandlers, we picked up Joyce and drove over to Lynn's so Jeff and Cynthia could visit with Jess and Diane.
We had a nice visit and enjoyed talking as we haven't seen each other in quite some time. Jeff and Cynthia just moved out to Kuna this past fall. NOT, that we saw them a lot when they lived in Meridian either.

Lynn and Jess and Diane were happy to hear I'd heard from the doctor. Tony, Jeff and Jess gave me a Priesthood blessing. Cynthia has had a lot of neck and back pain and several surgeries lately so they gave her one as well. It was wonderful. Shortly thereafter, I got another call. This tie from the INFUSION CENTER. I am scheduled for this coming Tuesday at 8am sharp. The chemo drip will take 6 hours!!  The Cytoxan was only supposed to take 35 to 40 minutes. WOW, what a difference.  Then I'll have to stay a bit longer to make sure I don't have a reaction. It will be a long day but I am so happy to get this going!!

After getting things scheduled, I got some pictures of Joyce (94) Lynn (90) Jeff is 78.  The brother with 2 of his 3 sisters.

Then I got a picture of the group.

And Lynn insisted I be in one as well, so Tony took it! Then as they were leaving, I got another call from the Infusion Center. She said, she needed to schedule ANOTHER infusion for 2 weeks after the 1st and then I will have them every 6 months for a while. Each time will be six hours.  I feel so much better just knowing that things are underway. Dr. Keller told me to still be careful and not to go into big groups and have very few in my home at a time. He said he is confident, I should feel better after the 1st infusion and hopefully this will kick the problem eventually! Praying for a MIRACLE!
