TEMPLE DAY LUNCHEON!~

I went to sleep immediately last night after we read and said our prayers. 9:19. I woke up at quarter to 5, got up to use the bathroom and then ended up reading my book cuz I couldn't go back to sleep. When Tony came down at 7 to eat a bowl of cereal, before going to the temple with Lynn and Joyce, I went up to dress and get ready for my day. Since I can't go to the temple right now, I like to make a lunch for the ladies and Tony, .....my way of serving.

I got out a jar of the apple pie filling Tony and I canned and got busy on an Apple Strudel. While it was baking, I got my potatoes peeled, onion chopped, bacon fried and prepped my potato soup.

I let the strudel cool and put a powdered sugar glaze on it and it's ready to go. I won't finish the soup till it's close to them getting home. I'll then add sour cream, shredded cheese and bacon. Then I'll have shredded cheese and chopped green onions and bacon bits for toppings. I'm toasting some bread too so it's gonna be a carb overload but  ...OH WELL!

I was going to sew the magnet neck band that Tony wants me to fix but I decided I need him here to fit it on him so I don't screw it up. So, I'll go back to my book till they get here. I'm almost done with #4 and ready to start on the #5,.... last one. 

Tony and Joyce got back from the Temple BUT Lynn was coughing too much and decided she'd better not come for lunch. So Tony told her he'd bring her a dish over after we ate. She gave Tony this cookie for me. They got them at the Stake RS activity earlier this week. SO PRETTY!! I wish I could make these but I don't think I have the patience. Like to try with Alivia sometime though.

I made up a "TO GO" dish for Lynn and Tony took it over before going to the gym. I hope she didn't eat before she got it. 

It was pretty tasty!! 

Lynn also gave Tony 4 boxes of sardines....Huh, 

NO THANKS!!

Tony said he's eaten them before, but didn't really want them either. LOL  I know Scott loves them (where he got it from is beyond me) so I sent him a text and told him they were his...He sent me back a heart emoji, so I guess he'll be over to pick them up! YAY!~

Now, back to my book while he's exercising!!

Tony got home again at 5.  He's been gone most of the day. I tried his magnet neck band on him and found out where to cut and sew. 

It was originally for headaches and to be wrapped around his forehead. He never used it. He had a smaller one that he used on his neck a lot! It was totally wore out.....holes etc... Ever since he broke his neck, he has trouble with stiff neck and achiness on occasion. This past few days it has really been bothering him so he asked me if I could cut down the BIG ONE and make it to fir his neck!

DONE!~

Now, I going down again to finish my book! lol Then when he comes down, we'll probably watch some TV and then read.

I had some strips that were already cut that were in my scrap paper when I organized it. I remember making ornaments with them for Christmas one year. So I tried another card with scraps. Since Christmas is over, I will try some other DSP tomorrow and make birthday, or thankyou or something.....  else!
