It was Tony's day to walk and do weights so we got up at 7. Off he went and I stayed home. I took a shower and then I got all my whites washed. I needed to wash my Temple clothes for tomorrow, so just added what was in the white basket of dirties to the load. I put my watch on the charger and the band came off. It's been looking kinda dingy anyways, so I changed watch bands. I then finished the GENTLEMAN OWL CARDS
by putting a sentiment inside.
I decided to put three owls on each card because honestly, I'm feeling lazy! lol Also, I'm getting tired of making these owl cards!! I didn't want to make 18 cards when I could make 6! I'm seriously just trying to use up the die cuts so I can concentrate on something else.
I put the sentiment on the inside.
Corny but at least I'm getting some "Manley" cards done!
For a change of pace, I started inking up a bunch of ties that I had precut last year! I helped the Activity girls make "Father's Day" cards, and of course, I made extra! Tony got home from the gym, so after he changed, we took the cookies I'd made and froze to Donna Jenkins home. They are for the Stake Relief Society Luncheon (which is tomorrow while I'm at the temple) After we dropped them off, Tony took me to the bank so I could cash my check from the church. They pay me to make the birthday cards for the Relief Society Sisters. It's nice for me and seriously, its a steal for them. They could buy them from the $ dollar store but mine are only $1.25 apiece and that's what they'd pay at the dollar store anyway. (and come on...mine are cuter ) If you buy cards at Walmart or any other store they are getting ridiculously expensive. The one Tony bought me for Valentine's Day was $8.95!
I'm a steal!! lol Anyway, the RS is happy to buy them from me! We went to HOBBY LOBBY to find a shadow box for my Madam Alexander Dolls. We found one and they were 50% off so that was cool! It still was $30 bucks! BUT, I'M WORTH IT! lol
We then went to fill up the car at Costco and then drove down the boulevard to the Asian Store by our house. I needed Sesame Seed Oil so I could make a dressing for the Asian Salad I was going to make for dinner. They were out!!! If you can believe that!! Well, I shouldn't say out, because they had a gallon of it but we just don't use it that often and it was $39 bucks!! Anyway, we headed back down the boulevard to Winco ! We decided to get some green onions, mandarin oranges, some more romaine lettuce and some shredded wheat! We get home and I went to make the dressing for the salad
AND REALIZED WE FORGOT THE DANG OIL!!
What a Senior moment is that?? We show our age every now and then!! So, frustrating!!
Anyway, we decided we DID NOT want to go back to the store. SO, we ate meat & potatoes for lunch and when I say meat, I mean teriyaki jerky and the potatoes were potato chips!! lol
Tony also ate focaccia bread from his mom and I ate celery and peanut butter. lol That's how we roll! Guess, we'll have the Asian Salad tomorrow after we get home from the temple. lol
I put the ties on a cards while we relaxed and watched TV.
I still have more ties but I got tired and just wanted to call it quits!! lol Gives me something to finish up next week.
Kind of a Senior day!!
