GRATEFUL TO HELP and GOOD NEWS!~

What a day!! We started  out getting up late.  Before we left, I get a text from a Sister I minister to. She said she was sick. From what she described, it sounded like Covid. I told her I would bring some food over to her. Then she said she needed $1000 dollars to make her house payment. I got food together and a "Get Well Card" and I told her she would have to call the Bishop. She told me she was too shy. I put his phone # in the card and we dropped off the food (in a brown paper bag) on her porch. I couldn't take a chance of getting Covid. In the card, I told her that it was her responsibility to ask the Bishop for money. I couldn't come from me. She text me later and she said she text him because she was too shy to ask him over the phone. I'm just glad she did it herself because it wasn't up to me.  So we got to the gym late but we just walked so it was fine.

I did three miles and Tony got in four!
We left the gym and went to Walmart to get some half and half. It was super cold and windy out but we did our shopping and then left. As we were walking out, we passed an older scruffy man. As I walked past him, I saw a $20 dollar bill. Then I noticed a wad of money drop from his pocket. I yelled,
"SIR, SIR, you're dropping money!"
He stopped and thanked us but then counted it. He said he had $500 but was missing more.  Tony and I started looking around when I noticed 2 twenty dollar bills blowing in the wind. I ran after them and caught one and then kept chasing the 2nd! DARN WIND!!

I got the 2nd 20 and gave it to him and we kept looking when I found another 20 and two 100 dollar bills! I gave it to him and he counted it and said he was still missing one twenty. Tony and I looked for quite a while but we couldn't find it. Either someone found it or it blew to who knows where! Anyway, we got most of it. He was very grateful and said he wouldn't have been able to pay for his groceries if it hadn't been for us,  We were so grateful we could help.
We came home and showered and I got ready for my kidney appointment. I worked on some of the cards while we watched TV till it was time to go. My appointment was  good news. I am in remission from the immune disease BUT I found out that it is the 2nd time I've had this disease. He said when I got sick several years ago and they said it was Sclerosing Mesenteritis, it was not! He said if the doctor's would have done more testing they would have discovered it. He said the prednisone I was on at that time put it into remission then but it had caused some issues with the kidney already. He said the fact that I passed a kidney stone from the bad kidney proves it is working a little bit, He told me I will still have to do the chemo drip of Rituxan. In July and every 6 months for a year and a half. He said at that time, he would determine if I need it longer.  He said it can never be cured, but if we can keep it in remission I will be fine. He is taking me off the prednisone and the Bactrim in two weeks. He's asking me to continue doing labs once a month, and I'll see him again in May,  August and October.
We left his office and went by Chic Fil A and picked up dinner.

It was mighty delicious. We are now watching TV and will be heading to bed soon. Tony has a couple of doctor appointments this week. One tomorrow and one on Thursday. I'm feeding the missionaries tomorrow night so will be busy cooking and cleaning house tomorrow. Need some rest!  I am grateful for God's hand in my day! It was a good day!

That's great that you were able to help that man get most of his money back. He needs to get a wallet for all of that. So glad to hear that your appointment went well and that you'll be able to get off those meds soon!

Yes, he was very grateful and we both said he needs a money clip or a wallet. I can't wait to be off the prednisone. Soon ! 1 more week!
