We had our temple shift today and we were serving as veil coordinators. We should have been to the temple at 5:30 for the coordinators prayer meeting BUT both Tony and I spaced it. Brother Weed called us when we were halfway there to ask if we were coming. We both felt so bad but they were awesome and told us it was no big deal! I told Heidi Weed that we are old and they need to spell things out for us...lol She just laughed and gave me a HUG!~
It was an awesome day serving. I love to work at the veil.
When we left, I sent Jenni a text to see how the Easter Breakfast went. She said it was great. Only around 100 showed but everyone got plenty to eat and said it was very good! Jenni told me to come by her house and she'd give me leftovers. SO, we got some biscuits and gravy and some OJ and grapes!
We ate some when we got home and then we headed to the park to see Christa and the boys!
I was so happy to be able to spend some time with these two little guys!
Paxson asked me to help him find the hidden characters. It was so fun and I loved being able to interact with him. He's usually so quiet but was very verbal when we were looking for the characters. We found them ALL but the darn ladybug! I told him I'd have to go over and find it so next time he comes, we'll know where to look! lol
We got some pictures of us all before they took off for home. Even Dottie!! So fun!!
Grammie Vernie and her Stewart boys!
Tony had been on the phone with his mom but he got in a shot too! After saying goodbye, they headed for home. I am so glad the weather was beautiful today. The boys love to play on the playground and get some fresh air before the long drive back to Washington. Dottie loved to get out of the car too!
We came home and I got out my CRICUT and cut out some letter for Scotlyn's posters. She is running for Sophomore Vice President.
I had to lay them all out on the counter to make sure I had what was asked for. She wanted 3 sets for 3 posters!! After I did that, I rested for a bit and then got busy cleaning my kitchen floor and getting things ready for tomorrows Easter Dinner!
I got my Funeral Potatoes done (and actually got enough for another small pan which I put in the freezer.) I will get the ham ready in the morning before church!
Then Tony helped me with the tables and the settings. I wanted to use my little Easter Eggs but I didn't have any plastic eggs to put in them so we went to the dollar store for napkins, and we folded them up and put them in the egg with a couple of candys. Not exactly what I wanted BUT it will have to do. The Dollar Store was almost out of EVERYTHING Easter.
I should have been more on the ball!! lol
Well, off to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day as well.
It will be fun to celebrate with family.
